The Australian HealthFusion Team Challenge (Oz HFTC) brings together the top interprofessional student healthcare teams from around Australia.

The event involves interprofessional teams of 4 - 6 health sciences students representing their respective University or Student Organisation.

All teams receive the same complex case study a month before the event. They are tasked with developing a short (around 5 minutes) presentation outlining a client care plan based on the case study.

On event day, all teams come together in front of a live audience and a panel of expert judges to present their care plans.

All teams then compete in a series of heats involving challenging extension questions and team work exercises, before the top three teams battle it out in the afternoon Finals. The team which displays the greatest mastery of teamwork is named the OZ HFTC Champion.

Who Can Enter?

The Oz HFTC welcomes teams from Australian and New Zealand universities, as well as "Wild Card" teams from international universities and all student associations/groups.

Participants must be enrolled in a health sciences or related program of study during 2016 to be eligible (either full or part time).
